We know that for many of you, celebrating with us means travelling a very long way: from the United States, the Dominican Republic and beyond, and we truly cannot express how much it means to us that you are making the journey to Italy.
To make planning your trip as easy as possible, we have gathered our recommendations for flights, airports, trains, accommodations and transportation below.

We hope you will take the opportunity to stay a little longer, explore Verona and enjoy everything this beautiful part of Italy has to offer.

A FEW HELPFUL THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE PACKING YOUR BAGS FOR ITALY !

PASSPORT & TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Please make sure your passport is valid well beyond your travel dates. For entry into Italy and the Schengen Area, passports should generally be valid for at least three months after your planned departure from the Schengen Area and must have been issued within the previous 10 years. Entry and visa requirements vary depending on nationality, so we strongly recommend checking the official requirements for your country before traveling.

CURRENCY & PAYMENTS Italy uses the Euro (€).

Credit and debit cards are widely accepted in Verona, particularly Visa and Mastercard, and contactless payments are common. (Italia.it)

It is still a good idea to carry a small amount of cash for cafés, small purchases, local markets or places where card payments may be less convenient.

If you are traveling from the United States, Dominican Republic or South America, remember to inform your bank of your international travel plans if required and check whether your card charges foreign transaction fees.

ELECTRICAL OUTLETS

Italy uses Type C and Type L electrical outlets, which are different from those used in the United States and many countries in the Americas. Italian electricity operates at approximately 220V / 50Hz. (Italia.it)

We recommend bringing a European travel adapter for your phone chargers, laptops, cameras and other devices.

Before bringing hair dryers, curling irons or other high-powered beauty tools from home, check that they are dual voltage (110–240V). An adapter changes the plug shape but does not convert the voltage.

WEATHER IN VERONA — LATE APRIL

Late April is a beautiful time to visit Verona.
Spring is in full bloom, the days are getting longer and temperatures are generally pleasant, but the weather can be changeable.

Expect mild days and cooler mornings and evenings, with the possibility of occasional spring rain.

We suggest packing light layers, a jacket or wrap for the evening, comfortable shoes for exploring Verona and a small umbrella just in case.

For wedding events, we recommend bringing an elegant layer to wear over your outfit, particularly for celebrations continuing into the evening.

And, of course, don’t forget your sunglasses, hopefully the Italian sunshine will be joining us too!

RECOMMENDED AIRPORTS AND TRAIN INFORMATION

Getting to Verona

We are truly touched that so many of you are traveling from across the globe to celebrate our special day. Your presence means the world to us!

Whether you are arriving from the United States, the Dominican Republic, South America, or beyond, getting to Verona is straightforward thanks to excellent rail links and several accessible international airports.

For guests arriving from overseas, we suggest flying into one of these hubs:

MILAN MALPENSA AIRPORT (MXP)

This is our primary recommendation for guests flying internationally.
As one of Italy’s major hubs, Malpensa provides the most frequent long-haul flights from North and South America.

Upon arrival, board the Malpensa Express to Milano Centrale station, then switch to a direct high-speed train destined for Verona Porta Nuova.

Estimated travel times:

- Malpensa to Milano Centrale: approx. 50–60 minutes
- Milano Centrale to Verona Porta Nuova: approx. 70–75 minutes

Please ensure you leave plenty of time between your flight landing and your train departure for customs, luggage retrieval, and the station transfer.

VENICE MARCO POLO AIRPORT (VCE)

A fantastic alternative, especially for those wishing to visit the canals of Venice during their stay.
From Marco Polo, take a taxi or shuttle bus to Venezia Mestre station, where you can catch a direct train to Verona Porta Nuova.

The rail journey from the Venice area typically takes between 60 and 75 minutes depending on the train type.

VERONA VALERIO CATULLO AIRPORT (VRN)

This is the most local option, situated just 10 km from the heart of the city.

While this airport mostly handles European routes, those coming from the Americas may find easy connecting tickets through other major European cities.

The Verona AirLink shuttle runs between the airport and Verona Porta Nuova station every 20 minutes. Alternatively, taxis are readily available outside the terminal.

MILAN LINATE AIRPORT (LIN)

Linate is a very convenient choice if your flight path includes a stop in Milan.
It is situated much closer to Milan's city center than Malpensa, though it hosts fewer intercontinental routes. From Linate, head to central Milan to catch a high-speed rail service from Milano Centrale directly to Verona.

NAVIGATING ITALY BY TRAIN

Italy’s high-speed rail network makes moving between cities incredibly efficient.
VERONA PORTA NUOVA is the city's central hub, offering fast connections to Milan, Venice, Bologna, Florence, and Rome.

From the center of Milan, high-speed trains reach Verona in just over an hour.
Two main providers offer high-speed services:
- Trenitalia : Frecciarossa, the national carrier, offering high-frequency service throughout the day.
- Italo: a private provider known for modern, comfortable high-speed trains connecting major hubs.

We advise booking your train seats in advance, particularly for weekend travel. Always ensure your final destination is listed as:

TRAVEL ADVISE

If you are coming from the Americas, please keep in mind that most eastbound flights are overnight and land in Italy the next morning.

We highly suggest reaching Italy at least 24 hours before the first wedding event.
This allows you to settle in, overcome jet lag, and explore the charm of Verona before the festivities begin.

If your schedule allows for a longer stay, consider adding a few days to visit Lake Garda, Lake Como, Florence, or Venice, all of which are easily reachable from Verona.

RECOMMENDED AREAS & HOTELS

We recommend staying in Verona, where you’ll be able to enjoy the beauty, history and atmosphere of the city throughout your stay.

Our wedding venue is located approximately 20 minutes by car from Verona, making the city a convenient and enjoyable base for the wedding celebrations.

Verona offers a wonderful selection of accommodations, from elegant luxury hotels and charming boutique properties to more casual and budget-friendly options, all within easy reach of the historic centre.

OUR RECOMMENDED HOTELS

To make your stay as easy as possible, we have selected a few recommended hotels in Verona that combine a convenient location with comfort and easy access to the city’s main attractions, restaurants and cafés.

You are, of course, welcome to stay wherever you prefer. However, for guests wishing to use the wedding transportation, we recommend choosing one of the designated hotels or accommodation within easy walking distance of the selected pick-up points.

WEDDING DAY TRANSPORTATION

On the wedding day, private transportation will be arranged from designated meeting points in Verona to the wedding venue and back at the end of the celebration.

As the venue is approximately 20 minutes outside Verona, we strongly encourage guests to use the organized transportation rather than arranging individual cars or taxis.

The exact pick-up locations and departure times will be shared closer to the wedding date.
